In forest clearing paths there are bear „piles“, and other signs of movements are visible too. In camera view there have been a couple of bears some nights –  after all where, how and with whom others move must be checked.

 

Females with cubs now move about less in order to avoid trouble and keep out of the way of large males on the prowl. The cubs have a panicky fear of big males, with reason.

 

In previous years bear movements in camera view at this time of the year have been more frequent than on average.
