Dwarf everlast
The habitats of the dwarf everlast, a protected species, are in south-eastern Estonia and the Pandivere uplands; the plant has almost become a rarity.
The habitats are easily seen: road verges with loose sand and sparse vegetation, often in sands or sparse pine forests. Never mind that it is a low-growing Compositae species, it catches attention with its silvery grey foliage too. Dwarf everlasts started their flowering in the second half of July, and it will last until the end of August. The golden flowers are arranged in dense compound inflorescences.
