They have visited the nest in the autumn-like December as well as in January: this winter has really only lasted for three weeks. Nest owners keep an eye on their home.
The plumage of white-tailed eagles becomes steadily lighter with age and the tail feathers turn whiter.
It is useful to compare some points in the exterior of the roaming, not yet breeding young birds in the video below: beak colour, plumage, tail feathers. Probably these are a couple of years old WTEs. It makes it easier to draw conclusions about WTEs that we meet in nature.
