Knowing both Harri (the main character) and Joosep (the director and photographer), we are truly happy that this extraordinary film has been made. In the nature film class it is something new. Firstly, unique and impressive views of moose in their genuine environment (also, probably never seen before in Estonian nature films, a wolf family peacefully carrying on their everyday activities), secondly, a singular personal story bringing home to the viewer the intense love of nature of a man who has seen many decades.
The film truly conveys the feeling that Harri’s participation in the autumn mating rites of the moose has become a passion and an addiction.
The film now goes travelling in the world, to tour the festivals. For the Estonian public May 11 looks to be the last chance this spring to see it, in the Looduse Omnibuss film evenings series in Rahvusraamatukogu , the Estonian National Library.
