New Camera

 
This year the Winter White-tailed Eagle Feeding Ground Camera starts a little later than in previous years. The camera was installed on December 8, with the assistance of Tiit and Joosep, but we only managed to get the sound in working order in the new year, with the help of Beta Group.

An overwhelming wealth of snow, but then we do live almost in the North. This Sunday’s short ramble to Paljassaare, the nature paradise of Tallinn, offered experiences that may have been first time ever in life – in the hollows the snow came up to the hips and trudging through them for the pleasure of it was good fun. But if it were a question of struggling for one’s life in such conditions, it would obviously be a different story.
Arne’s photo above is from another place but shows this winter’s face beautifully. Snow is the light of winter.
And Arne Ader is the main person at the nature photography school on January 8-10 arranged by Viitina Nature Education Centre, in the glorious Haanja landscape and Arossa Villa. A few places are still free – so hurry!
