Lectures during the International Year of Biodiversity in the Estonian Museum of Natural History:
On Thursday, January 28 at 18.00, in the Museum of Natural History at Lai 29A, Tallinn, Tiit Hunt talks about “Little known fish species in Estonia”. Tiit Hunt is director of the zoology department of the Museum. The lecture is the first in a series that the Museum of Natural History arranges to mark the International Year of Biodiversity proclaimed by UN.
It is also a chance to see the exhibition “Estonian fish”, which is open for the last few days and shows unique photos of nearly all fish species in Estonian waters. The result of Tiit Hunt’s long-term work is photos of almost 60 fish species in their natural habitat. Fish common in Estonian waters are shown in the exhibition as well as species that one only rarely meets. In the Thursday night lecture Tiit Hunt will among other things tell about the photographing of the fish in their natural surroundings.
Admittance to the lecture is free.
The exhibition “Estonian Fish” stays open until February 2.
