The XII "Bloodless hunt" took place on May 22-24, 2009, on the hunting grounds of the Kilingi-Nõmme district of RMK, the State Forest Management Centre. This year’s target creature was the OTTER and the best photo of the target was authored by Ingmar Muusikus, who became winner of a "Bloodless Hunt" for the third time. Besides the otter, one of the most popular photo models was the hare. Hare photos also took the largest number of special awards. 31 nature photographers took part. The photographers were assisted by RMK's hunters.
The animal photo contest "Bloodless Hunt" has been organised since 1997 by RMK, the Estonian Museum of Natural History and Overall Eesti AS.
