New Camera

 
This year the Winter White-tailed Eagle Feeding Ground Camera starts a little later than in previous years. The camera was installed on December 8, with the assistance of Tiit and Joosep, but we only managed to get the sound in working order in the new year, with the help of Beta Group.

From Nordic winter to pre-spring

The record snowfalls of this winter covered all nature. But it is good to be sheltered from the cold under this cover. 
A car seems to be hidden in the snowdrift, only the mirror and aerial reach out from the snow.
 
Winter without thaws lasted for 76 days – from December 9 to February 22, and only more snow fell all the time. 
An ice column grew up under the heat pump aggregate.
 
Strong winds in February carried away several centimetres of snow from fields. 
The storm winds left waves on the snow cover.
 
Snow clearers and ploughs had a heavy load this year.
 
Poorly isolated buildings could be recognized from the long icicles.
 

But sap started to move in maple branches on March 3. 

March 4: sap icicles grow on sycamore branches damaged by snow clearing.
