Starling flocks

Starling

  Starling Kuldnokk

Sturnus vulgaris

These migrant flocks fly so fast – up to 75 km per hour. Swallows and starlings are our fastest-flying songbirds.

The looks of the starlings have changed to be nearly unrecognisable compared to spring, but they can still be known from the flight pattern of the flocks. The last migrants leave only with the arrival of snow and ice.
