The winds from north and the sinking sea water level set the ice fields moving in the night, and with a rumbling sound of waves in early morning the sea announced that it was getting free from the ice.
Two seal pups that were already losing their baby fur were debating if they would dare test the waters. Most of the seal pups that were born on the islet have already discovered the open water spaces.

The heat period of seals has passed, now they are busy with foraging for food. In the beginning of May the colony can be expected to return to the beach for moulting.
