This year the Winter White-tailed Eagle Feeding Ground Camera starts a little later than in previous years. The camera was installed on December 8, with the assistance of Tiit and Joosep, but we only managed to get the sound in working order in the new year, with the help of Beta Group.

Boar at feeding ground

At midnight a male boar appeared at the feeding ground. The mating period is past and male boars move on their own. This is however not our "old“ friend that was here in December and January.
 
The wolf pack that scared away the boar herd from the feeding ground still moves around in the vicinity. We asked Mait about the movements of the wolf flock: the daily range is about twenty-thirty kilometres and they visit an eagle feeding ground...

The fox makes frequent rounds to check the situation. The raccoon dog pair with transmitters are an everynightly sight.
 

Already on Christmas Eve our friend the lonely young male boar was there too, he has not gone away anywhere. The weather report promises continued warm and windy-stormy weather.
