11:14 the Eagle has landed
..and lies down immediately..

11:52 a jay cried and startled the eagle. Several jays started crying and flying around the nest.

12:23 he flew away

13:34 An eagle has landed. I heard him calling a few times before.
(S)He Got to work immediately, moved several sticks and pushed the bowl to shape from different sides.
Now lying down.
Great to see him/her.







He left at 13:50

So do I. Can't wait. Such a beautiful animal. But we have to, 6 months or so...
Hopefully they will come here a few times more before winter. Do they migrate?

No. In the first years they are mobil and move around. Adults are sedentary.

Thanks, Biker! Good to know there are more people keeping an eye on this nest, I should check that forum more often. I have made the same pictures ;-) ...

So maybe they'll come to the nest in the autumn/winter now and then.

Both Golden Eagle and swamp cameras are off.
On Dabasdati Ugis Bergmanis writes (GT):

Early morning frost in Teiči bog

I heard the Golden Eagle call at 13:48. Hopefully he comes to the nest.

14:50 more eagle calls and also raven's. Sounds like they are debating.

It's snowing.

9:41 I hear an eagle arguing wit a raven, out of view unfortunately.
After a few minutes I hear the raven fly away, protesting.
