Here is a marvellous series of films called Eagle Eyes, narrated by David Attenborough. The camera work is so surprisingly good.
There are five sections to watch 10F5 to 50F5
Click on the next one as each ends.

I was so late going to bed last night -!!

One Raccoon Dog saved - thank you, guys! :loveshower:

http://www.ohtuleht.ee/index.aspx?id=345813

Click on the picture to enlarge and SORRY for my English (hope it's better than nothing).

Two cyclists Raimo and Innar travelled from Riisipere to Haapsalu. They were most amazed when they met an animal which seemed to be with two tails. When they got closer they understood that it was a raccoon dog having a bottle on his head. The animal didn't escape but was waiting for assistance.

The initial scene was funny to the cyclists, but then they realized that the raccoon dog was in big trouble. "There was nothing to think about - how could I leave the animal this way," said Raimo. At first he was going to call emergency, but then decided to act on its own.

The Raccoon dog had been in bottle for quite some time since the container was stuck to the hair and the larvae were found there. "That's a miracle that he could breathe," said Raimo. As soon as the painful "headgear" was off, the raccoon ran to the forest (gratefully!).

The neck of the bottle was cut off. Probably it was used as a vase in a cemetery and the raccoon went to drink from it.

There is a lot of talking here, but they do not really say much. But the piece of cloth woven from Spider silk is amazing.

In a sign of the international state of our society -- it was sent to me by a woman in Exeter and she did not know I have been madly taking pictures of spiders.
