Re: Wildlife Cameras that are really good
@ Thank you for give attention this Jo.
I also realize that it is messy, but I can not lose my messages from the Bisons.
Just like at the Saker Falcons in Hungary, I'm almost the only one who posts messages.
Maybe an topic for the Bisons one page above this?
( Other Birds and Animals )
viewforum.php?f=11
please?

Or a combination of the two, if that is possible:Jo UK wrote:We all agree that this part of the forum is overcrowded and chaotic, but we need to consider the best way to re-order it. Maybe delete all those topics which have not been used for 3 or 4 years. Maybe a locked topic which lists links only - no posts about individual cameras unless there is a popular demand.
Any other suggestions?
a topic where people can post new cams which will be added to a list on the first page(s). Someone will have to moderate this topic of course; put the links on the 1st page, add a little information such as animal, country. In this way the links will be easy to find and easy to remove when they are not working anymore. But people can still add links to the topic, like they do now.
And if one of those cameras is very popular then maybe it is time to make a separate topic.
I remember there was a page with a camera list a few years ago but it disappeared when the whole Board was reorganised.
Also in this way you can combine the two topics there are now: the 'Different other nest cameras in Latvia'and the 'Wildlife Cameras that are really good'.
The Latvian WTE forum has a lot of information on the first page so it looks like the space can be expanded, or at least be reserved.

The small dormouses(Glis-Glis) have opened their eyes and are no longer naked. One of them is very active and helps the mother lick the walls.

earlier some of us added the link to the cam to every post. Would this be helpful to keep the overview in this topic?Jo UK wrote:We all agree that this part of the forum is overcrowded and chaotic, but we need to consider the best way to re-order it. Yes, Biker, I remember you did it every time, that was helpful.
But how do you get everybody to do that? And even then there is the problem when you, for instance, remember that some day there was a post about a bear cam but you don't remember when it was, how do you find that post? If the word 'bear' is not written in the post, it is very hard to find it without wading through the forum for a long time. Believe me, I have tried it.

Yes, dear Jo UK: remember my pn from January 5th which said:Jo UK wrote:We all agree that this part of the forum is overcrowded and chaotic, but we need to consider the best way to re-order it. as I see in the theme "Wildlife cameras that are really good" the Bison camera in Polen etc. seems to find great interest in the moment (this happens in this theme from time to time, when there is no extra theme for a certain webcam). Wouldn't it be good to open a theme for that and leave the actual theme for the links to different cameras to be posted?
It's just an idea, which again and again comes to my mind, when I see the always following postings of a webcam ...!?
or at least doing what Biker recommends:
But for that Marfo might be rightBiker wrote:earlier some of us added the link to the cam to every post. Would this be helpful to keep the overview in this topic?
