Bialowieza, the most valuable forest in Europe, is currently being destroyed. Yet there are still nature activists who protect the ancient trees from the sawmills. With their own body. Show them that they are not alone. Share this message. And sign the call!

Do you know the cornell lab webcams?
Probably they will have been posted here already.
No matter, so once more.
For example the Cornell Lab FeederWatch Cam at Sapsucker Woods:

There are a lot of birds.

2 of the Dormousechildren are out of the box. Nobody knows if they are voluntarily out or not. They searched everything, but they did not find it. The other 3 are still there.

When I visited Białowieża last year many trees were overturned.
Most of spruce trees were attacked by the European spruce bark beetle (Ips typographus).
As far as I know foresters remove these trees only outside of protected area. But...protected area covers only 25% of Białowieża Forest (17% National Park, 6% nature reserves, 2% protection zones)
So for me the main issue is to establish National Park for whole area of Polish Białowieża Forest.
I plan to spend couple days next week there, so I will see how matters are going now.
