Manu, for two nights now I have missed the boar family in Spain. :puzzled: Maybe I am too late ?

The kestrel chicks have all their adult feathers (well, nearly all) now. They look well and healthy. :2thumbsup:

Manu, great color pics of the Spanish boars! :headroll: And Bleggi, I also look at the boars in Sweden sometimes, too. I see them once in a while, but not often. The little kestrels are really growing fast, too!

Hi

The boars (two sows and 8 piglets) have been coming at 10 pm (central European time and leaving around 12 . Usually there are some different sows and piglets arriving later but they have been missing for the last two nights. They will be back

thanks for watching

Chris

Manu, wonderful pictures again of the boar family. And now, when I was just peeking for a few minutes, to my great surprise, a gennet wild cat came to the boar cam area! I was totally not ready to record but managed to get the program loaded in time to get a tiny bit of its visit.

But first I managed to snap a picture of it up front.

I won't be logged on much for about a week, as we are leaving tomorrow on a vacation trip to see my husband's family in Wisconsin. There is a big family reunion gathering on Saturday, lots of people, & lots of food & beer! I will not have any internet or computer where I am going to be at the country house. so it is a real treat to see this animal today while I am getting ready to travel.

A Spanish fox followed the gennet's visit & took a good drink from the pool. The fox that comes here looks so skinny compared to foxes in the USA or in Estonia, unless it has mange & is hairless. But it looks in good shape other than a very close-fitting coat.

:loveshower: Beautiful! See what I saw when I checked the Cornell Heron nest cams. From the secondary cam located above the heron nest-- a doe whitetail deer walks through the pond below the nest & browses the water plants. The cam operator had seen her & followed her on her watery walk. I was so lucky to see this-- usually I only watch the primary cam that looks out onto the heron chicks in the nest. It was not coming up when I tried, so I just thought I would try the secondary cam. :headroll:

The kerstel (Muttenz, Switzerland) are now ready to fly out.
I think, one of them is already gone.

EDIT:
14:15h: All 5 "chicks" are in the nestbox and one of them is eating a mammal.
