There are two of them! I watch them everyday at about 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., later in the evening it often doesn't work. Maybe because of the dark or other reasons...

The Bald Eagle cam on Hornby Island in British Columbia, Canada, is again being broadcast via Wild Earth. This nest was the first live cam I ever watched, in 2006. The cam owner (Doug Carrick) can switch between a wide angle and close-up view.

The eagles have been in the nest for a couple of hours each day, bringing branches to fix it up. They also brought the remains of an opossum to the nest and had dinner there.

so good to be able to see the Hornby eagles again. That was where I started my love affair with eagles, in 2006. I think many of us met there for the first time.

Ha ha I couldn't see a thing - forgot about the time difference and it was pitch black in that forest!!

Today I saw 2 deer, pheasants (?), a raccoon and a possum.

Hi Alice I just looked there and saw a ? possum or racoon and it was feeding from a dead deer

The camera shifts between to vantage points -- rather suddenly and surprisingly. One has grain and the other seems to be a dead deer (that is what I thought but I was not sure.)

Here is what it says "About PixController.com Wildlife Webcam:
Camera is located in South Western Pennsylvania, USA. Our webcam is broadcast live 24/7 all year round. There is an automated feeder which is setup to feed at 7:15 AM, 12:00 Noon, 5:30 PM, and 10:30 PM (Eastern Time Zone) on the main camera. The feeder puts out a small amount of cracked corn and sweet feed to attract an array of wildlife. The feed is only used to attract the wildlife and not provide a food source they can live off of.

It does not say anything about meat but.... I think the dead deer and raccoons must be at a secondary camera that is motion sensitive.

... "There are motion-activated cameras that will switch on when something is in front of them. These are wireless video cameras that are battery powered and charged by solar panels."

Here too Alice its snowing real hard too.!! No animals there now though. I hope they are tucked up warmly ? somewhere.!

A new BLACK BEAR CAM has been started at WildEarth.tv.

The bear in the den is a 2+ year-old (born June 2007) female named Lily, and the biologist thinks she will give birth to cubs in the next couple of weeks. The den is is Minnesota, USA

Probably pregnant, but they do not know for sure.
