Yes, that is the weather typical for January and not for the ending of Winter. And -30 is too cold even for Moscow(although it was only -16 at night and -9 in daytime).

 Liz, Solo and all!
The remains of the nest are hidden by falling snow.

:hi: asteria,
Tóbiás's time (by waiting on Sára) runs faster by repairing the nest  (it is the same situation as previous year, maybe a bit more demaged - it is another view)

source: http://gemenczrt.hu/media/feketegolya-feszek/ - scroll down, and also: In early February, half of the nest fell apart. Last year saw a similar incident, Tobias and Sara were already home and repaired the damage before the first egg came out.(GT)

they wrote about our injured storklet (GT  - I made only little correction):
2017. 08.
The chicks have returned to the nest for some time. In the middle of the month, there was only one with injured leg overnight. Storklet used a curious survival strategy. As it was difficult for him to move on the ground, storklet had been walking between the fishermen of the nearby Sió dead chanel and waited for the little fish. By the end of August, storklet probably came back to join a BS group that was preparing to fly.

and our trio

Solo, your pictures from our little hurt Storklet worries me! I do not want to think what happened to him.
If they go so close to people, they are very hungry.

:hi: Liz,
Gemenc Zrt web page: "As it was difficult for him to move on the ground, storklet had been walking between the fishermen of the nearby Sió dead chanel and waited for the little fish." I hope, our storklet changed that survival strategy after healing  (László Anasztázia, the photographer, wrote, that was enough cautious - it was maybe later)
