OMG! The poor storklets seem to be wet til to their skin.
Just good that they are already so big. So they can cope for certain with it without getting ill.

The new White Stork cam I didn't know yet. Thanks a lot for the hint! It's indeed - as always at Looduskalender cams - a great view!

Have a nice evening!

Greetings from Michi

Hello together :hi:

It is so funny to watch them!
They accelerate to change their plumage by plucking the down feathers themselves!

Baska, :hi: thank you for the interesting pics! The storklets develop very well! :D

I've two pics from the day before yesterday, June 29th, at about 19:20. They have almost lost the down feathers on their heads.

Hello Michi! :hi:
Where are the others???

The youngsters are certainly able to fly since about one week (due to their plumage),
but the nest got really cramped conditions, that they hardly cannot exercise....

Yesterday in the early morning it was the first time, I saw someone doing a reall jump! :D

Image

Image jumping! :headroll:

Image

Image

Image
Flew off? We never can be sure because of the bad view into the nest.......

baska & Michi, great thanks for your pictures and informations. So happy about the Youngsters!

Unfortunately, I had little time, but every day I looked in...
Always all three young were in nest :puzzled:
I had worry, they would never leave the nest
Where they already so ready looked for fledging :chick:

Nice weekend to you both :shake:

Baska :hi: Thank you for the marvelous pictures and your reports! What a surprise to see an empty nest!
I didn't knew, that the storklets already are fledged. Every time when I looked at the nest, all three were there.

Like here ... about 18:45
Look at the storklet on the nest rim! :slap: How can he/she sit in that way without falling out of the nest?
