Today morning here is -18 C. Based on weather forecast there will come 1-2 very cold nights and after that gets little warmer. But WTEs are adapted with this cold.

Sulev came and has taken over while Linda has now flown off. I think Sulev brought a twig... and he's now faffing over the egg :loveshower:

09:44h Sulev visited Linda. I thought he brought a twig too. But VLC was jamming so I couldn't see it for sure.

Linda hopped to the branch on the left.
grand jeté.

then she took off for breakfast and Sulev stays at home, taking care of the egg.

it's amazing how VLC jamms exactly at the very moment when there is some action... :slap:

i think that there were a lot of little birds entertaining Linda and she was talking to them. :whistling:
i think i heard voices of a jay and great tits and a magpie. once i managed to capture some black&white bird. i think it must have been a woodpecker, probably a great spotted. it was too far to make a definate identification, but there are a lot of them in the forest.
Image

also in the feeding place the forest is crawling with great spotted woodpeckers. i think it was Liis who wrote earlier that great spotted woodpeckers have migrated largely this winter. this migration is not a regular, yearly migration from wintering areas to nesting areas and back, but an irregular flood of birds from one area to some other within their normal distribution areas.
