These chicks are the most beautiful I have ever seen!

And the suggested names are very clever

But I have a question ...

Last year I asked if I could call Mutikluti "Muti" for short, and I was told (by whom, I forget, but it was an Estonian member of the HWF forum) that it was "not nice" ... so now I am :puzzled:

Hallo Bociany!
I remember that! As Yarko said "Muti" is diminutive name, some call so their mothers. Maybe it was said so because this word is related to word "Mutt" which is not nice name for older woman, although it is in use in good and bad meaning. "Muti" itself means nothing, just word game.

I had meant to say I too like the names -- they just seem to make a nice pair.

I was thinking of cute "pair names" and these fit the bill very well.

Muti and Kluti look really big on those pictures!
And they are grey already. Wonderful kids :whistling:

Linda & Sulev are raising them with admirable devotion - wonder is it common among eagles or are we just lucky to observe 'Superparents'?

I think that our eagle family is tired. In morning was rainy, they were soaked. After rainfall began storm...Now, in evening they can rest. For Sulev was today too hard, he brings every day some fishes, today no one! Two birds was for all family food today. But chicks were good feeded.

I'll hope you're right, I can't see Linda's beak or even she's head. It must be so deep in the nest. She is so still very long time.

The chicks are so cute all stretched out -- they appear to be all done in from the wind and rain.

Yes, LInda does lood odd, but at least we can see that she is breathing and the chicks don't seem worried.

They lie there like little erratic boulders - - -
