Hello Renno,
thanks for the news of our little big baby rubberfoot. It's good to hear that everything is alright with cute Illimar and his parents.
It's a pitty that we cannot watch him doing his eagle yoga but if the cable error is too near to the nest and any disturbance would risk the happy life we have to accept this.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that we'll be lucky and will get a chance to see Illimar before he will go to discover the world ...
Best regards, Bine

Good afternoon, Renno,

many thanks for your Infornation and the specially trouble to go to the nest and to see of what get rid.
Pleasantly that it went well Linda, Sulev and Illimar when you were on site.
Maybe hope insists, nevertheless, still a little that cam functions again, before Illimar conquers independently the waters of Estonia. :shake:

Even though I'm a new member among Illimar's family and friends, I want to say that I agree with all what was written before, about our whish to applause at Illimar's first fly, and also the absolute necessity for Eagle family to be safe. Kinds regards to everybody. I'll be very careful to the news here

Does anyone know if Sulev and Linda spend the rest of the year together or not?

Renno, many thanks for your effort and the info. I'm pretty sure that you, Urmas and people like you have great eagle wings hidden under clothes.

Hello!
Network cable is not broken but most probably one of the cable plugs is malfunctioning and needs to renew. I went there few days ago to look from the distance but Linda or Sulev was close to the nest and I didn´t want to disturb them (broken cable plug is right under the nest..). When Illimar grows then Linda-Sulev both goes to the sea for fishing and sooner or later we can fix the problem (if it is what we expect). Please be patience and hopefully soon we can see Illimar.
Patience is considered a great virtue. I'm perfectly happy with the dicisions taken and wait ( is actually a bit like when you're out birdwatching: sometimes it takes [very] long before you see what you hoped for). Keep up the good work! Much appreciated!

we have no knowledge about that. we don't even know where they might be, except that Linda was seen once in the winter feeding place a few winters ago. even that we can't be 100%-sure about, because it was before the zoomable camera was there, so her rings weren't actually read, but otherwise it very much looked like Linda.

any way i have a huntch that they don't travel very far from their territory (and from each other) if only they can find food somewhere near it. in the middle of winter when all waters are frozen they probably have to move further South. i also think they'll probably return as soon as possible to make sure that no other eagles steel their territory and nest. but as said: there is no knowledge of Sulev's whereabouts at all and only little information about Linda. Linda has been spotted in photographs occasionally.

- in the winter feeding place there were sometimes some adult eagles who looked like couples to me. at least the one pair who sat side by side on a pine branch necking each other in a blizzard was a couple.
there were even some 1st winter eagles who seemed to me as if they were with their parents. for example the Warrior Prince seemed to be with his parents. at least he pushed two adults one much bigger than the other (mother and father?) away from food and they stepped aside without any arguements. so they looked like a family to me. (one has to remember that these "observations" are only the what i think i saw, i.e. my speculations, not facts.)

-actually it would be really nice if Renno or Urmas would have time to give us information about when and where Linda has been spotted in pictures. :hi:

Thank you for this!

I think you 'guesses' are good - there are good reasons to stay nearby. If the winter feeding ground is on I am going to be watching avidly! Just in case Linda, Sulev and even Illimar show up!! It is mysterious - especially Sulev with no rings...

Thank you for the nice pictures
I had looked a little the polish webcam; it was so nice to see these eaglets! They are really big and strong :D.
And meanwhile I was thinking of Illimar ... Surely he is as big as this two. I would like so to know wether he is also climbing on branches, making exercises with huge wings, looking interested into his environment ... :-) It must be great, seeing him again after that long time ... some day ...
