Re: White Tailed Eagles Discussion 2010
I am watching the nest with WMP. The picture quality is good but at this time of year, it is difficult to make out all the details. Bright sunlight, deep shadow and moving shadows are not so easy to watch!

And I cannot find out to make screenphotos or video either, sorry

....
thanks to all for reports and photos too
about taking and posting pictures: have you noticed there's a section called Technical question in the board? it's almost in the bottom of the list... how to take pictured depends a bit on what program you are using to watch the stream. you can have a look here if you're using Windows Media Player like people usually do when they start watching these cameras:

it that doesn't help, feel free to ask more.
here's a little clip of the lazy sunny afternoon.

Teele and Timmu - beautiful namesJo UK wrote:Teele and Timmu -
I should have posted something about that yesterday, but the day ran away with me!
Giving names to these birds is not something that is a priority for the scientific types such as Urmas and Renno, but it is important for us! We have a closer, more personal connection with these chicks so we want to name them.
Picture quality - maybe each country has different internet standards and, of course, if there are many viewers that may slow the stream somewhat. If quality is poor it may not be our personal connection that is at fault.

Teele (i think; i'm supposing automatically that the chich who is moving is the bigger, the girl) is doing some wingcercises already!
Sulev came to the nest at 18.11 but i don't think he brought any food this time. Linda had been sitting there and she took off after Sulev came. then Sulev also jumped to a branch on the right side of the nest and out of sight but i didn't hear him leaving... who knows, maybe he took off, too. they can do it so silently.

And here´s a song for a lazy eagle afternoon
One of these mornings
You're going to rise up singing
Then you'll spread your wings
And you'll take to the sky...

Thank you!! I think, on that 'uplifting' note, and expectation of good for both eaglets and owlet, I will leave these bird-cams for a while and perhaps resort to the wave-cam. I am not a scientist and I find I am not made of 'stern enough stuff' to watch a hungry, lonely little owl...... I love birds too much. Will leave all these little birds in the care of Whatever name you wish to use, and will know that all IS well. Bless 'em all. And all of YOU. Back after a break.ame wrote:

I keep peering at the time on upper right Cam.. its almost 11pm here and fully dark.
In the nest area we see a beautiful outline of the parent eagle, the nest, the tree, leaves moving in the breeze and a clear pale blue sky beyond.!!
Its a beautiful romantic scene.

wrote a whole post and it disappeared into the ether..
I have had the cam on until now.. I can hear the birdsong and it seems like full daylight there. Did they have any real darkness ?
Linda was quietly looking around, surveying the surroundings.
The eaglets are and so should I. So.. I am
and Linda had gone to stretch her wings. The kids are softly peeping.
Have a nice day all.
Thank you all for all the news and videos.
