It is 20:38 nest time and one of the adults is feeding the eaglets... I don't know the male and female apart as yet...as this is my first day of being able to watch them! :loveshower:

Wow, look at their full crops.

They are at the clumsy, big feet stage already!

Bairbre, Linda has rings on her legs. Sulev is bare-foot! Linda is the bigger bird, if you can see them together.

at 9.43 the eaglets were alone at home and the other of them called for Mommy and Daddy in a rather adult-like voice. there was an excavator working in the forest somewhere in the background....

a while later first Sulev returned to the nest and quite soon Linda followed him with a big fish (again! they seem to have an endless resource of those equally-sized brown fish, were them crucian carp?) i didn't make a note of the time when they came... maybe Mutikluti has made better notes...

then a while later i was in the other room and there began a quarrelling sound from the computer and i had to come and what they were up to. it seemed that Linda and Sulev were having an argument on which one would have the right to feed the chicks! Linda was beeping in a loud and irritated voice and pulling the fish from the talons of Sulev to her side.
Sulev looked very unhappy after Linda had taken the fish away from him. they even crossed their beaks a bit!
it took him some time to accept what had happened before he retired to the branch on the right side of the camera.

Sulev seems to have a very strong urge and instinct to feed and to take care of the chicks.
it was him who was in the nest in the morning while the excavator was rumbling in the back and it was he who returned to the nest hours before Linda after the ringing of the chicks. he's a good father! :loveshower:

I wonder if it is common for the male to argue to get a chance to feed the chicks.

Ame, all that confirms my belief that they are not very different from us. We can understand their behaviour easily, because it is so much like our own!

my stupid camera is freezing again! :bash: and it refuses to start over... i just see that Sulev has returned...

now it works again... it seems that Linda took this fish too!! selfish Linda!! :rotf:

i thought that when Sulev left he looked like he thought that he'll get a fish of his own to feed it to the chicks, but look at what happened again...
