it seems to be another sunny day at the eagles' nest.
i've been away today and will go again for the week-end to the country where we don't have internet... so i won't be able to take pics or anything like during the week-end either. bye!

These are extraordinary pictures! I feel like I'm there, with the eagles. Er... in another tree, of course.

I think that after this stormy time the eagle will need a hairdresser
it seems like dust around the head, but it isn't - only flying thin white feathers

Haha - I like her hair style! It is one way we have of seeing which is Linda.
Anyone who feels like doing pictures and reports tomorrow and Sunday will be welcomed with open arms. Mutikluti is having the weekend to herself - or with family, or something. She won't be at the computer, is what I mean!
And Ame is away - she will need reports when she comes back, too.
I must set the alarm clock!

It is after midnight and the contrast of the colours - I like it.
The hole eagle family is sleeping, I suppose

Now it is bright day light at 3.56 and Sulev is feeding the softly chirruping chicks.
Here in UK it is 2 am so back to bed I go.

For the sake of accuracy I waited until I could be sure of Sulev's identity. Here he is - no rings. So he has done an unsupervised (by Linda) early morning feed.

I suppose because there was no kotkaklubi member who knew about his nest when he was young. So we can't know anything of his origins - his age, which country he was hatched in, etc.mei2k wrote: Why does Sulev have no rings?

As for myself, I must not get 'glued' to the webcam - nor can I often tell which parent I am looking at, especially in the bright light. Sorry too, that I haven't yet accomplished the art of image-taking. Failed all-round?? Anyway - 12.10: It's very windy and very sunny. Can't see her/his legs, but someone with a spikey head was sitting with her/his back to us, and is now doing some nest-sorting, and there is much, really delightful, twittering going on. Sorry to be so vague. Not very helpful. 12.14 nest-cleaning ended. All sitting again, but still some twittering (enough to confuse our cockatiel again!).Jo UK wrote:Haha - I like her hair style! 12.29. Whoever it is, is very restless in the bright sun and dark shadows. Still can't see legs/rings: can anyone else? I don't think I'm adept enough to judge by hairstyles..........Mew wrote: As for myself, I must not get 'glued' to the webcam - nor can I often tell which parent I am looking at, especially in the bright light. Oh dear - it is too difficult to watch the cam. It seems to be on a stop-go cycle, or about 2 fps. With tree movement, bright sun and shadow it is uncomfortable to view it.
