Oh, thank goodness. It is so easy to fear the worst!
Many thanks to those who heard and saw an eagle. We can say only "Maybe Sulev"

thanks Kitty.

the link's address is on top of the first forum page. now the WTE camera is also on top of the live camera list on LK front page. - i've had trouble finding the right eagle board on the board list. i mix winter eagles and summer eagles. yesterday i even mixed eagles with pigs and posted an eagle message on siga-forum by mistake.

it's been a quiet day: no-one has visited the nest as far as i've seen. of course i haven't watched all day (like i didn't take the PC to the toilet and so on :whistling: ). did anyone else see anything?

yesterday's eagle-visits can't be seen in Pontu-pictures. they were so short that it would have been almost a miracle if Pontu had captures them.

i have some markings in my notebook though. at 8.05 a black woodpecker was flying and calling in the forest but unfortunately is was too far so i didn't get a decent sound sample. it was calling prrt- prrt- prrt..... that's a voice which it makes while it is flying. i didn't hear it land, it flew so far... it makes a different voice when it lands on a tree (or could it be said that when it trees 8-) ). then it shouts klyeeeee --- klyeee---- klyeee! :D
(supper time. i'll be back...)

in the morning it was snowing slowly but later after 10 o'clock the Sun began to come out...

at 12.21 and later at 13.41 sounds of flying swans were heard (but again too far for sound samples :slap: ). in the afternoon some voices of crows, a woodpecker (? Denrocopos major?) and a dog were heard. but then later in the afternoon it was quite quiet...

at 18.32 the camera turned off. good night!

along the day two things have come to my mind. first: if one takes a lot of screenshots then it might be a good idea to choose to save them in *.jpg- format and not *.png. png-picture-files are at least two-times bigger than jpg-files. they fill up the disk-space much slowlier than png's.

the other thought concerns eagles' nests. i've read that an eagle couple quite often has two or three different nests in their territory and their nest in them in turns in different years. is it known whether Linda and Sulev have another nest/nests in this territory?

Ame, I forwarded your question to Urmas.

I don't know anything about another nest, but we do know that WTEs don't breed every year. Could this be an egg-free year?
Let's hope not.

I have been looking through the 2009 topic, trying to find the fledge dates. It was probably early July, but we missed it because there was a webcam fault.

I found this, instead - thanks Vaino!
