ame thank you ofr all your reporting here. It cant be easy with this two as they never seem to sit still. Now,though it seems there must be an egg by this evening. :dunno:

edit; I can't make out whats there on the nest now, everything seems the same colour. :slap: But the stick across the nest seems to have moved.

there was still a burst of activity at the nest in the evening. Pruuni slept in the nest from about 17.40 till about a quarter past 7 pm. then it started to wake up and yawned at 19.18.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9L0qwSm6iY

then it did some homeworks. at 19.23 Halli returned
Image

... and Pruuni left at 19.24.
Image

Halli followed at 19.25.

now there seems to be something wrong with the link to this video but i'll leave it here anyways. maybe it'll be fixed later...
i've added the direct links there, too. - this is strange. i could have sworn i saw the videos here once..?

within a minute it returned but i can't see whether it brought anything. i guess it did, otherwise these trips would have little purpose... it made some homeworks again and then left at 19.44.

then again within a minute it returned at 19.45 and maybe brought a twig or something. it has a nasty habit of turning its back to the camera when landing. before leaving it scrathced its cheek... it took off at 19.46.

once more it came in at 20.33.

http://youtu.be/BIqV7cOWIUI

it seemed to settle down and i already expected to see it stay but it left at 21.01. :slap:
by that time it had already begun to rain... since then no-one came to the nest...

all this fuss this evening reminds me of one of my friends who was a bit over her due date. she was so fed up with her big stomach and she couldn't wait any more. she had read somewhere that taking a good sauna-bath would trigger labour so she took one. nothing happened. then she cleaned her whole house because that was supposed to do the trick. nothing happened. then she washed all the windows, too. again nothing happened.... but the baby was eventually born when it was ready.

Image

the jay scolded the buzzard who left after the jay. there was still some noise from them..

Good morning Ame
Looks like something will happen this year in this nest - hope something good and nice!
I like the names you gave them!

(and about your overdue friend - I'm completely with her ... )
“One can measure the greatness and the moral progress of a nation by looking at how it treats its animals” (Mahatma Gandhi)
"You can judge a man's true character by the way he treats his fellow animals" (Paul McCartney)

the second burst of morning activity started at 8.20. Pruuni (?) brought a twig, "made bed" (=pressed the nest bottom with her breast and shook herself a little :whistling: ). then looked around the forest...
Image

.. and left at 8.23.

Felis: Pruuni seems to have become serious now. :D
