at 9.49 it came in with a stick.


again it tried hard to push aside the crossing stick. no success.

the other = Pruuni came in at 9.53. the first = Halli lay flat down in the nest bowl


then slowly got up and left at 9.54.


Pruuni stays and is making home arrangements.

Pruuni has layn down for some time now. she is arranging tiny twigs and other small thingd around her breast and looks calm and content...
- she hasn't said anything in a long while.

yes, it's badly in the way. and the poor birds don't seem to be strong enough to either push it aside or to break it.

Pruuni lies down quietly and peacefully. sometimes it get a little up and turns to a slightly different position. then still again...

could this be for real...? could today be the day?

after 11 Pruuni got a little restless: it rose up, turned round, arranged twigs and stuff and began to call more and more frequently.

at 11.07 Halli meowed from far and they called to each other... then Halli arrived at 11.08.
here they are side by side in same posture. difficult to see much any difference, except size... but there's also a little delusion because of perspective: Pruuni is just a little closer to the camera. i think Pruuni is on the right.


Pruuni left at 11.09 and Halli followed her almost right away.

i guess they went for an early lunch.

and right away one of them flew in! ... i just wish i knew which one..? Pruuni?
to the back branch...


back to the nest.... and off it went at 11.36.

11.39 back to the nest....


and off it took at 11.42.

i wish they'd make up their mind: either IN or OUT!

one buzzard came in at 12.21.

another visit: came in at 13.23.


... and left at 13.24.

oh dear! it's there again!
i didn't hear it come in because of the wind. i only noticed it when it said kaa. then it climbed to the back branch.
EDIT: it arrived at 13.32. again it didn't seem to bring anything.


and left at 13.35.

both buzzards made a quick visit at 17.38 when both landed almost at the same time.


then Halli left. i think it flew around the forest opening because Pruuni was looking around up in the air.... they called to each other...

then Halli returned to the nest at 17.40.


they both called a lot and it sounded like there was a third buzzard still in the air. both were looking up. then it seemed like Halli tried to climb on Pruuni's back and i thought YES!


...but then no... Halli spread his wings over Pruuni, both called and they looked angry... then they left one after the other.


and there was still a lot of meowing from the air as they flew away.... maybe an intruder again?

the other returned to the nest at 17.50. it may be Pruuni. she's staying there quite quietly, lying down and looking in the forest....

it seems that Pruuni began to sleep almost immediately...
Halli came to have a look at her at 18.19.

he checked that Pruuni was ok.


then he left at 18.20.


since that Pruuni has mostly been sleeping, leaning on her beak. ...
EDIT: i found this picture posted by venegor on the Latvian WTE-nest thread. i don't believe that venegor is unhappy if i copy it here. it' taken at about 18.30.
