It sounds like someone is doing wood work. A nest construction?

did i hear a man's voice? hunters are calling in Latvia at the same time...
strange noise from here, continuous rustling and banging...
i asked Urmas a week ago if he has some plans about the nest. he said then that none yet. now he has at least started something.
i think that it's high time that someone starts something. the nest seems to be just as non-existent as the last time we saw it. what a difference compared to the Latvian nest. Shilute could lay eggs safely there tomorrow, the nursery is so ready there.
thanks for finding the correct address for the stream. it works for both VLC and Potplayer.
i agree about the start date: new year is better.
what do others think?

We got connection from forest to tower and that you noticed. As we see, there is no nest restored by eagles on same tree, also we don't know if that is because of new nest somewhere or by some other reason.
Sure that we need to find time to visit the place and see what happens around there. Batteries in forest seem to be not well charged, that's normal in current light conditions. Also I see from images taken, that water still in camera housing. So we need to change that part (extended sensor with lens) of camera.

thank you Urmas for the information. good luck for you expedition!
i also realized that the view was very misty. there's still fog formation inside the camera. it's best to collect it and hang it to dry above the stove.
the camera is still running although it is quite dark....
16:51:25 the stream stopped.
good night!

ESTONIAN ENVIRONMENTAL AWARD
This year the nest cameras have been submitted as one of the candidates for the Environmental Award of the Year in Estonia and Kotkaklubi deserves all our votes to support this entry.
The Environmental Award of the Year competition, organised by the Ministry of the Environment, is a competition the aim of which is to recognise individuals and institutions/enterprises that care about our environment and make sure that others do as well.
(the /en should be deleted to get any more relevant information from the official page, however it is all in Estonian.)
Everyone can vote (including people who are not Estonian citizens), however, as far as I can see the voting page is written in Estonian only.
The voting page is here (the submission is called 'Projekt "Pesakaamerad" ' on that page):
http://maaleht.delfi.ee/news/maaleht/ke ... d=76542382
Nest webcamera(s) project - Non-Profit-Organization Kotkaklubi
The aim of the project is to stop the human alienation from nature and to encourage understanding and caring for the nature through (emotional?) knowledge and inclusion. Thanks to the webcameras, millions of people all over the world are able to be "included" in the nest life of many rare and endangered species such as eagles and black storks. Simply the White-Tailed Eagle webcamera in 2016 alone received over 10 million views. In addition, thousands of active members on the forums (it did not explicitly say Looduskalender, however) were able to discuss and observe the nest life in real time. The cameras also allow people with certain disabilities to seemingly be in places where they may not necessarily be able to go in person.
The project includes journalism, social media and forums, through which viewers are encouraged and directed to collect useful information from the cameras, and to share their findings with others. The data that is collected from these cameras have a great impact on the species' protection policies and on ethnology(I am not entirely sure they meant this science in its "normal" meaning). Edit- Urmas suggests that the phrase "citizen science" is more appropriate here.
With many thanks to Jürgen for this information and explanation.
I have voted so we know that votes from countries outside Estonia are valid.
Please vote - our much-loved Kotkaklubi is worthy of all the support we can give it.

Thanks a lot! It's easy to find, it's the 5th one. When I voted a couple of minutes ago, I noticed that "we" have already 12%.

Thankyou, constant-gardener.
Every vote is important.
Although this is a quiet time of year for forum activity, I think that votes from forum members can make a big difference.

I wonder if it was a good idea to post the one or other video on Youtube in order to remind all kinds of eagle folks of our nice time with our beloved eagle family. Maybe, it would work out to give a hint in a comment on Youtube?

i voted, too. Pesäkaamerad is not in the lead but in good pace anyway. let's make it the winner.
btw: the stream stopped at 14:45. there were a lot of tit voices then, especially crested tits.
now it will not start again.
