In Estonian it sounds like someone who slurps something that is pink (a liquid stuff, obviously), or someone who consumes a pink slurp (which seems to be a certain drink, I guess). Interesting, anyway.
Yes, it's Estonian word. I'm interesting about this language a little bit. And translation is completely right. But I will not give explanation why I choose such nickname. :D

Uku is a really diligent fisher and hunter. He takes care that nobody needs to starve in this nest.
Here is Uku's catch for today:
06:35 Fish
08:26 Fish
09:15 Fish
13:02 Bird for lunch
13:08 Fish
14:14 Fish

16:20 Fish
18:13 Fish
20:31 Fish
Totally 8 fish and one bird. Enough food for the whole eagle-family :2thumbsup:

Good night! :offtobed:

I haven't seen the chicks' feet yet. Last year I noticed that the chick actually has pretty big feet and long nails on them - maybe one could say massive feet for the size of the chick itself. I tried to go back on pics but couldn't find any with their feet. They seem to be staying a lot "sitting" still.

Anyway, as I opened the camera just a while ago the chicks were stumbling on each other, and I started to wonder if they could accidentally harm each other by stepping. Is this possible or likely? Sorry for the silly questions. Just ideas that come to mind when watching.

11:37 Anna brought a bunch of hay.
Image

and the bigger chicks had an exchange of hard-looking blows. the smallest was too slow to wake up and take part. i think that the middle chick gave the first blow but got two blows back.
btw: Vicky :hi:
here the feet are seen. they are turning yellow slowly. in the beginning they are pale pink.
Image

Uku flew out. i think he took some lunch with him. :puzzled:
