Thanks a lot, Ame, for sharing the very good news with us! Thank you, Urmas!ame wrote:Urmas has mailed us:

that was our Illimar!![]()
I'm very glad to hear that our Illimar is alive and hopefully well.
I've often thought of him, always asking myself if he has survived the first years. Illimar was such a cute eaglet! I admit, my great eagle love, as he was the first eaglet I saw grown up.
I look forward to the photos!
Thank you, Ame and Mutikluti, for Illimars nice photos!

First twigs were added on February 18, and a more serious action began on February 22 when the female also showed up.Jujani wrote:In the last yaer the first eagle visit the nest on February 8th

But the situation may be different this year...

welcome!
in LK forum the first two messages of a new member must be approved by the mods of admins before they appear in the forum. new members don't (of course) know this. that is why you didn't see your messages here when you had posted them. it must have been puzzling.
i removed the other of your messages because they had practically the same message. i hope you don't mind.

thank you aita!
that was a very quick fly-by and so it was difficult to see much more than it had a white tail (at least mostly).

i made a gif of the fly-by.

most of the day there has been that sound of a tractor (or a reaper or a harvester or something like that) in the background. only at noon time there was a break in the engine noise. it's probably the same machine as a few days ago, doing the same thing, but it has stayed out of the sight. at least i haven't seen it today.
i managed to spot one vehicle in the recording!
12:40 a vehicle came and drove by. it looked like a pick-up truck.
before this it was quiet for some time. the worker(s) probably returned from lunch.

good morning!
the camera is running, who knows for how long. i forgot to check (it was exciting in Latvia).
it's a beautiful sunny morning.
9:23 an eagle called very far. a female voice i think.
9:49 i hear singing black grouse! (Lyrurus tetrix)
also they are very very far. i could only hear the "bubbling" song, not the hisses.
for comparison for example:

the noise from the agricultural machine has been going out there all morning...
the same bbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... with the same clo-clo-clo-clo-clo-clo- as earlier.
the clo-clo must come from some sort of reaper, like this but more modern.
