Look at all those gulls hugging the shore floating on the water.

I should do some, too

What a luck - we have bad and rainy weather today - so not much outdoor-activities can be done ..... :whistling:

it's so soothing to be able to see the sea again... :innocent:

and i think there are some baby square waves forming in the left third of the picture. the camera might be a little more to the right of the old place some 2 years ago. then the square waves were coming from the front right... :puzzled: - is there any information about how the camera is situated this time relative to the old places? it's so cloudy that the position of the Sun is unknown (but i guess that the camera isn't looking to the South; we'd be blinded by it on a good day).

my stupid VLC still can't find the stream. :bash:
... maybe i should update the version, but is it safe now? if i remember Felis had problems with one update some time ago. i'm offered update to version 2.0.2. is that safe? my present version seems to be 1.1.11.

I have updated to 2.0.2 in the meantime, and the portable at work is even 2.0.3. Except that this portable does not let me see Käsmu anymore, I have no problems! The seal cam is coming very nicely here!
The problem they basically had was in saving screen shots, first it was not working at all and later only as PNG (but I could not save at all, when I tried), but since .2 is out, it's okay!

:loveshower: This sign shows more than my words could tell!
How wonderful is that - the cam is back, the wires repaired, the wild boar landed on a grill? I don't hate wild boars - people who knows me know that. But this guy ..... :whistling:
Thanks to everybody who worked for giving us the possibility to watch the sea with its animals and of course the birds around.

I just made the update with 2.0.2 and did not get Kasmu anymore. So I could delete it with the right mouseclick and have the old version and it works again. I will keep it now.

Interesting for me is, that on one laptop I cannot take pictures the old way, only screenshots with my other programm. On the other laptop I cannot close the sound, then the cam goes down and I have to start it in a new way - very strange, but my daughter looked per internet and saw, that others have problems, too. Here, on my big computer works everything now - great!

i've now updated my VLC to version 2.0.2 and it still can't open the seal cam. it tries for rather a long time but then it complains: "VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtsp://193.40.133.138:80/live/hyljes'. Check the log for details."
i don't even find the log....
there must be something in my end if both the old and the new versions work for you, the others. :dunno: :faint:

my VLC began working as soon as i got home, it just took a while to start. the version 2.0.2 was updated like a dream. my settings were also copied and installed right away so it was not necessary to find the snapshot and record-buttons by hand. also the settings for default files were the ones i had selected in the old version. thank you VLC-team!
i think the nerds at my school have managed to block the possibily of receiving rtsp-streaming there. that's why it didn't start there earlier today 8-)
