:headroll: WOOHOOO!!! Black Stork cam is online (although it does not work at the momemt - too many retries it says). My first season has begun. :bounce:

Just 2 questions: :innocent:
1.) How can one differ Donna and Padis? Is one (or both) of them ringed?
2.) Will the 2nd cam have a different address? Or will there be 2 webcam pictures in one Media Player window as it was in the Winter Eagles cam (perch tree and feeding place were seen at the same time)?
Thanks.

And somehow I think Donna will be again the first to arrive this year. :D

Hi Ricky,

Padis is ringed and Donna isn't.

Last year Donna arrived first because her companion - Tooni- perished during migration.

Wish you Happy New Year of Storkaholics!
Though Portugal has made some jump ahead..

Just returned from nest site and noticed that one of cables (old one for second cam) is damaged, it should be replaced with new one. We try to make it as quickly as possible, ie tomorrow. For night I switched camera(s) off, for to save energy in batteries.

We don't know, how two camera images will transferred to you - we'll test both possibilities.

Thanks for info, Urmas!
And even more for getting the cam going!!!

My personal opinion is that I like one cam adress with 2 videos placed next to each other better than 2 different adresses where you have to switch back and forth. But I think it depends more on the cam technique (or whatever) than on our wishes...

1 April 2009

06:45 - It is raining at the nest - the only sound is that of the raindrops. Some of the ice in the nest has melted.
