Pictures of Tiit and the new stork
I have a request. As Urmas has not enough time to look and find pictures of the new male stork and Tiit from last year for comparison, I had the idea to collect here pictures you made in the last few days of the new stork and if you have good ones from Tiit from last year. This will be a temporary topic only for the purpose to see if it is a new male. It will be locked and removed once it is no longer needed!
Thanks to everyone who can help in this matter!

on 17 Apr 2014, 15:08 Danielle posted a nice pair of pictures of the new-comer and Tiit here:

i don't know how permanent features the featherless areas in the faces of storks are from one year to the next. the face may change during the molt (like the colouring of plumage in many birds changes gradually as the bird becomes older, like in WTEs and geese and swans).

i must say that i agree with Danielle: the faces of these two storks look quite different. in the lower picture the red featherless area is much larger around the eye.

in all other pictures of Tiit last year he has a wide red featherless area around the eye. it's someone else in Danielle's lower picture. but who?
also Tiina seems to have similar red area around her eye.
could you Danielle please check your lower picture: when was it taken and what else is in that picture?

Please post mainly photos and write who is who according to your knowledge, but please don't start discussing here, as this is counterproductive to what we aim at. We want to make it easy for Urmas to see and compare pictures, but this is difficult if he has to read through thousands of comments! Thanks everyone!

I have looked for the Pontu pictures of waiting Tiit from last year and found several quite good ones:
