Do I see right? Is the male a bit more dark black? And is his beak a bit taller??

These are the first ones:

:D Now I can't remember who on the first pics is Tiit and who is Tiina! Well, if somebody made a video, it is possible to know. But I really saw, I think so, that Tiit was the one who flew on the nest in pic nr 3.. etc.

Olga, thank you for reminding us of some of the differences between male and female. It has been a while since we had a close look at these birds.
My recollection is that the male has a slightly longer beak, brighter red legs and beak, and around the eyes. Unless we see both together I am not sure I can decide who is who!

So who is the gorgeous bird?

You are right, Jo. Agree.

I think this is Tiit! I remember that when the other left, I thought, ahaa.. the male begun to brood. But: I was making picture editions at same time and perhaps could not notice that they changed places. But I thought that the one who returned on the nest about 10:30 was Tiit, ber cause it was this BS who then jumped on the back of the second one.. :D

I looked as carefully as I could what happened then.. yes, the other one has bigger beak! It's Tiit! (sorry for one hundred times if I am wrong!!)

12:16

edit: here (pic nr 10 from my previous posts) the two beaks can be seen quite well. The angle to both is same and the have almost same position:

Hello Mutikluti and Kuremari. Yes, because I did not look at the name of the side, it was very confusing! But what a bird! You live in a beautiful country, with all the wildlife and the woods. Yesterday evening I was astounded by all the birds songs. Thanks everybody who made it possible to enjoy this

Now the enchantment begins. Laundry will have to wait. The vacuum cleaner will not be used. Meals will be taken on the run, if at all.

This sentence was removed in consideration of jopie's feelings!

I remember it well.

And one day the webcam will go off-line for some unknown reason, and we shall all feel quite lost!!
I remember it well.

JoUK, please remove that last sentence

But it is one of the facts of webcam life! Usually, they come back to life again, just in time to save our sanity.

Oh all, right, I will remove it :chick:

Just discovered their beauty! And don't want to think about them not being there one moment.
