Ame, you are right: they are growing increadibly fast! I am surprised each time I look at them.

Oh, Lussi, good morning!
We had the same idea at the same time!
I don't know, what happened in the afternoon. I wasn't here until late.
I didn't see either what Tiina brought. She was immediately surrounded by the chicks.

It's wonderful to see these babies! I haven't watched for a few weeks because I have to stay up late to see the nest!
Does anyone have dates eggs laid and dates eggs hatched?

Yesterday I tried to look up how old were the chicks from last year when they were left alone at night for the first time but couldn't do that, because the cam was disconnected too often at the time.

Today the storklets spend their very first night without their parents."
Chicks was born in 2008:

I think it was normal in case of our storklets too :)

Asteria,I doubt the storklets are alone. The parents are probably on a branch nearby,if I remember right..
They grow so fast. Its great that enough food has been available so far.

I think the other evening there actually was something/body around, as the storklets were making their "warning" noise (as I know form the time Urmas visited for ringing last year)
It's dark, that's why it's not possible to see more than the white of the storklets, but one can hear their warning a couple of times (that's how I became aware of it)

Oh my, it is pouring! They are miserable, as they don't all fit under anymore!

Good morning!
Ja, they look quite soaked, Felis Silvestris. It is really a dangerous period: at the present time they are too big to fit completely underneith the parentstork, but the feathers aren't water-repellent yet...
But the rain will soon go. (I looked at the radar)
(In southern Germany and the Netherlands it is carastrophecally these days: many storklet died because it doesn't stop raining...)
