How wonderful to see black storks again. I am not as familiar with Tiit, but he a magnificent black stork. Can't wait for the season to begin. :shake:

Although we cannot see wild boars anymore, I have a little substitute. Local time at the black stork nest was 12 :20 am, & although it was pitch black, I could clearly hear a herd of boars foraging on the forest floor.

this is not April fool's day: there's a white dusting of snow over everything except our brave stork! :slap:
now he really needs the plumes of the neck to drown his beak in for warmth.

at 7.16 the nest is empty. i didn't see when the stork took off.

Has Tiit gone back to Africa ? I wouldn't blame him !!! Is not even the 1st April yet :rolleyes:

Hi, Storkaholics :hi:

Only for patient persons :wink: - nearly 21-minute video of a busy yesterday morning.
In less than an hour the male brought 14 sticks and arranged them in the nest (I do not know how many he brought afterwards, because I had to turn off the computer and go out). The original movie took almost an hour, but I decreased the longer fragments.
