Great pics. :2thumbsup:
I like the way they treat each others and never seem to fight. (Do storks ever fight or are they always peaceful? :puzzled: ) Even though sometimes they are using their sibling as a some kind of "stepping stone".

George, Thank you for that interesting video!

Storks sure do fight - I have seen some White Storks do battle over a nest (or mate?) - females ended with very bloody chests

20:22 Another strange action.

It seems to me not a battle. It's like a mating.......

Hello,

I'm watching wonderful Estonian Black Storks family from this spring. Thank you for wonderful view and joy, which I get in your site. Just today I decided to join to forum, because I want to tell few words about drama in Holland Gorrsel White Storks nest (Belleefdelente). I want to explain a bit about attack on 11June. I am from Lithuania and watching mainly White Storks web cams. So, Bellefdellente was one of cams, which I and my friends observed. Especially attentively we were watching it after 11June. When we have seen 11June video, at first we thought too, that one of the parents attacked chicks and were shocked. But after reading some comments and attentive watching few videos, we understood, that not parent, but stork intruder attacked the nest. Two chicks hid their heads and have pretend to be dead. Behavior of third chick wasn't right, in our opinion. He tried to resist, and intruder attacked him. When one of the parents returned, stork intruder left nest, but shocked and irritaded two other chicks attacked their brother. After some time he has gone. Later we were observing returning of foreign stortk to this nest few times, but there weren't more so great dramas in the nest.
This is what I wanted to tell about Holland nests. I don't think, that storks are aggressive. They are fighting sometimes, in my opinion, just in the spring for the nests.

Best wishes to everyone

So the chance for Lenny to return in this nest is reduced to zero: of course he will be attacked too, also he has forgotten that he'd to fight for food with others. Even Mid with transmitter didn't feel comfortable with her siblings because they disliked "the thing" on her back. Anyway, non-returning to the nest is the less evil.

2 weeks of absence is too much probably. I wonder if the parents have also reduced the amount of food they collect when one of the kids disappeared. :puzzled:
Hopefully Lenny will get a new start of life somewhere else! :2thumbsup:
