An adult bird is very nervous. I think that tonight, at the latest tomorrow morning we shall see the first chick, maybe even two.

There is definately a pip in one egg.
Parent bird is busy preparing the 'crib'..arranging the moss,digging in the nestbowl.

So I think that these chicks voices are similar to those which predict a small crocodiles hatching.

I can imagine that young saurians had similar voices.
Meanwhile I think it lasts longer than the birth of a mammal. (But all in all more comfortable for the female... )
