A wonderful cam this is.
If the BS shouldn´t come this year it´s good to have another great cam where to go then.

I saw both eagles in the morning. Gorgeous birds. :loveshower:

Hmmm...seems that we have name 'problem' again?
we can't go on calling them male-female...

My suggestion:
male - Alo (old Estonian name = Sunrise, dawn)
female - Eha (old Estonian name = Sunset, dusk)

Though - those names could be ticky to pronounce for non-Estonians...
Liis - would you please help me explain the pronouncing?

i would also propose Ago (male) and Eha (female) :)

Ago means a bit more sunrise (and i have such friends, ago is son and eha his mother heheh)

Great name suggestions, Yarko!

Alo like the -alo- in Palo Alto? Frenchmen pronouncing Hallo? Cockney 'ullo? Eha like rehab and keep the e as e in nest, and a as in class? - Sorry, no good on pronunciations!
But look - people have sound recordings of birds, boars, wolves and whatever all over the forums - so - someone with a nice, clear Estonian voice, please?

Hello!
Seems the Lesser Spotted Eagles are the same individuals as last year in that nest.
You are right - male eagle is smaller, slim, with narrower head, darker, with pale eyebrow stripe - he should bring more food into nest and therefore be more away.

Names:
Eha - OK
but for male if to mention sunrise, would be 'Koit' in Estonian as another word.

Interesting that the prey contains mainly frogs - usually they prefer mice...
If you could determine the prey brought to nest, please write about that!

At us their name from the frog lasts ("Békász sas"). I know it, they like the frogs, and the lizards.

There are no chain-saw sounds now.
What a good thing that this nest is watched by so many people!

Chain saws started again 13.33 nest time.
Empty nest.

13.42 The chain saw sounds are closer - maybe that is because the wind has dropped and we can hear more clearly now.

Voices, shouting.

There is silence now (Thanks for Urmas! ). But the birds do not sing yet, and I do not hear the eagles.
