Good.!! Koit is catching up with the prey and bringing to the nest. ? 3 visits.
At the end of the feeding I saw Eha giving the 'other' Spot a little poke to the beak area. Not much of a reaction from him.

Hi oliv - Koit did'nt stop hunting.
-it's probably just the rainy weather that makes hunting difficult.

But they NEED food soon.

Eha is ripping up a tiny bit of food. The nearer chick seems to be getting it. The back one was pecking at the closer one -- but to me it seemed to be lack of coordination. I don't think the back chick is getting any food.

The little one was up at the beginning ;( but by the end Spot 1 was sitting on it.

at about 20.31 Eha was eating and feeding Spot Sen.
Spot sen. was holding the little Spot jun. in a wrestling headlock, little ones head under the arm, Spot jun tried to fight out but Spot Sen. has taken some Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu behind mummy's back and didn't let go.

Can't you give Spot 1 a little bit Valium?? Then he will be quieter and Spot 2 can
eat more and get stronger...

Now I've seen the video: Spot 1 is as mean as a young cuckoo in a nest and for the same reason: wants to survive and does not know that both of them can do
so! Let's hope Spot 2 finds a strategy to overcome number 1!

Better kidnap Spot 2 from the nest before it is too late. Or give them a set of mice and voles.

ergee is right - Spot 1 doesn't know that both can survive. It msut be an eagle's instinct to behave this way.

We were warned :book:

Kenny you are talented---I remember you wannabe movie maker, but also ornithologist. Now perhaps you should think beeing comic-strip maker as well. Or better maybe you can combine all these three in future! Great comics :2thumbsup:

Hi, it's great that Koit brought food today! I will be happy if one chick have the possibility to crow up and I'll try to watch this nest consciously from some emotionally distance to avoid the ( propable) anguish and torment that cainism may cause...It can be difficult. It is very good that we have been warned.

If both survive there will be nothing to prevent to my joy! It would be almost a miracle.. We have seen almost miracles sometimes.. but no one knows when we see one next time.

In damp cool weather I think train noises travel much further than usual -- (I suppose it could have been a truck but I think train).

I was really worried with all the rain and so little food when they were both so small -- I was afraid neither would make it -- which would make me hurt. But if one survives, that will be success.

I do not think it is fair to think Spotlet 1 is mean -- just struggling for his life. He was fierce grabbing at food from Eha even before Spot 2 was hatched. And remember realistically if there is not much food it would be possible that there would NOT be enough for both to make it. One survival is better than none. Of course I do NOT want to see Spot 2 fail.
