I have looked at some pontu images from the old days -- times when a parent came or went and I have not yet seen the parent on a branch before coming to the nest -- this suggests that the LSE did not hang about on the branches near the nest (within view) when Spot was young. -- I will keep looking

by the next image it looks like food has been delivered and Koit has flown the nest.
This is a cropped image of the next picture. I still cannot tell what the prey is (I was hoping it would be obvious)

 Good morning, Alice

I searched yesterday forwards from the date 1st July from the picture (06:23 )you put there abowe in your post

viewtopic.php?p=45882#p45882

It seems that parents were not far. In two hours Eha was most time on the nest, made three very short flights, brouhgt sticks and greeneries. Koit visites for two times before 9:04

I made a story for them who perhaps not have followed the nesting from beginning - the new members for example.

It'sa long story! :faint: :D

Only six first pictures are to upload .. it takes five minutes!

I notice they come and go but I was hoping they would sit on the branches like the WTE's do. I will keep looking. I now suspect that when Spot did his funny neck movements one of the parents was right near (but that was after he was older). Several examples can be seen at viewtopic.php?p=45904#p45904. I especially love the image from 12.12.
Spot can be as silly looking as he can be elegant!

I love the way Eha blends fixing up the nest with preening Spot! Spot under the twigs is just adorable!

I also forgot the way Spot would sometimes sit near the edge or peer over.

Spot is so cute in those images, especially looking at his toes and covered with greenery, I laughed and laughed.

And again we can see that food was delivered but pontu caught no sign of Koit.

Does the 9:09 image show there was yet another delivery?
