You are right, Asteria. Today there was adjustment, it was buzzard.

Yes, indeed, I read it too today... it turned out to be buzzard (after closer investigation), although the nesting spot generally was well known as a place for LSEs. And now it's gone.
Sad.

But the bird had greyish color while Martin and Maret are brown, could it be a honey buzzard?

No, Honey Buzzard is a late breeding species. Their chicks should be very small in the end of June.

i remember well tormi because it was my first loodus-cam-watching-season. Also I haven't forgotten Stephi. The attack and the fall out of the nest after valiant resistance. - i remember well also at my solidification in front of the computer when it happened.

I forgot that Tormi was ringed only at the end of July and got a cap during ringing.

I have removed several posts about a new nest camera which were not at the right place here. We would appreciate if new camera annoncements would not be placed randomly somewhere in the forum. If no topic is ready, be sure we are working on it or there are good reasons why it is not yet online (as maybe the eaglemen have expressed their wish not to have it public before a certain time).

This topic will be kept locked until a discussion about the original topic is continued.
