There was just a delivery or two. One eagle (the male?) arrived with something it seemed in a talon and then called and called and then the second arrived and then I saw a frog which I think the female ate. But I am not sure if it arrived with the first eagle or not.
These eagles seem to eat a lot of frogs.
Mutikluti posted pictures faster than I did so I think there is some overlap
(holy moly another delivery!)
back to earlier and my pictures...
You can see something in that right talon.

Well, I think it is official now: this is their nest
Male arrived at the nest with a frog, started to call for the female, who arrived and took the frog to eat it.
Something beautiful: sealed their love with a frog! (male left, female right)

Eagle came and shouted, flew off, came back, flew off again, but no second appeared. The transmission is very jerky and the sound also not parallel to the picture

Black stork departed at 10.56
11.15 -11.20 both Remo and Tulli were on the nest for a few minutes.
Yes, and he had brought a frog, but the frog was not agreeing to become today's lunch and left the nest - in the film ca. 1.30 in the background - and Remo looked after it!

Information from Latvian forum. The names of eagles are Mētra (pronunciation Meetra) and Madis. Word Mētra is derived from Mētriena, name of neighboring village.

Remo arrived and together they were bent over the egg for quite some time
Then Tuuli went and Remo took over the care for the egg

Some pictures I made on 27 April. The male, Koit, appeared suddenly with a lizard in his beak. He looked around as if wondering where Eha was, dropped the lizard down for a moment, then picked it up again & flew off to the right side of screen, as if he had remembered where an alternative nest is located where she would be. So I think they do have another nest nearby that they preferred for some reason.

First I was astonished that they catch so much frogs ..... her in my region the most food of the raptors are mice.Felis silvestris wrote:I also could do with one egg! Remo is taking good care for Tuuli. Bringing so many frogs ...
It surely depends whats up most in the different regions ....
Yes, I was reading about the misfortune of the second/third egg .....

Reading the Wikipedia article, http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schreiadler you can read that for instance they found in nests in Belarus more amphibians, German nests they found more mammals
