I've recorded that (previous page) and Tuuli is so cute sleeping. One can sometimes forget that eagles are predators ...jopie wrote:it is dark almost, cuckoo was very loud very nearby, Tuuli is sleeping, have a nice evening everyone

So many great pictures . It is dark in the nest now, I can just see the shadow of Tuuli and hear the birds singing. Good night

We don't know. At the end of the non-season last year a couple of LSEs seemed to be marking this black stork nest as theirs. I guess there is a good chance that they returned. To my mind they seem quite different from Eha and Koit, Spot's parents, at the Estonian nest. We have named these birds Tuuli and Remo.mei2k wrote:Hi everyone! I think i missed a lot here

Tuuli seems to scream less, maybe she gets more food (?) -- the frogs seem bigger here. She eats in the nest and as I recall Eha usually flew away to eat until Spot hatched and Remo has actually sat on the eggs here at least once; I do not remember Koit sitting on the eggs.

Now there are a kind of "metal" sounds. What's happening? Someone in the tree? Or maybe in a nearby tree?

She seems satisfied too, I bet she ate while she was out.
The metal noise -- like something big far away? I thought I was hearing some kind of strange machine.
