Tuuli feeding Little Pi -- Remo must have delivered something a minute or so earlier. I was in the quilting room, but I could hear Tuuli's calls of delight.

Remo arrived with a vole. At first i did not see it as it was under his talon on the edge of the nest. Stephi, stayed almost sleeping in his spot and Remo seemed a little surprised Tuuli was not in the nest. I can hear her flying around. Maybe she is hunting for herself, quite near the nest.

I forgot when Tuuli arrived and she arrived with a small twig. She must have arrived about 9:27.

By 9:33 Tuuli had found it and Stephi had eaten most of it.

Priscillash18 in your video I can see that was a pretty big prey, maybe even a water vole -- substantially bigger than the things Stephi can eat on her own.

I guess Remo delivered something and for the first time Stephi put his wings out to protect his prey.

alice :hi:

I was curious when Stephi will begin to cover food - guessed little Pi would do it soon after being able to take prey from parents and swallow it whole - and so s/he does

That´s what Tormi did last year, too!

Woot! Fleur caught a Great Tit on Metra's nest. I just caught a little greeny kind of bird on the edge of this nest. It was there for a little bit but I only got one rather terrible capture. I think maybe this is just as Stephi heard it walking about on her nest.

(But I saw it which gets a :loveshower: )

Here is the enlarged version

The little bird is down below the slash mark.
