11.54 Tuuli and Remo arrived and Tuuli left in the nest.

Today? Really???

Yes, right now Tuuli is there, crying a lot!

It was so nice - again they made their bows to each other when they arrived at the nest

It does certainly sound like Stephi had some type of illness, malformation or sickness that made her unwell and possibly weak. I am now thinking even though her loss was so very hard for so many of us, that she may not have been able to make her flight to migrate and may have died enroute to her final destination. As sad as that is, maybe a quick death by another raptor saved her from a more prolonged and painful death, alone somewhere, where there would be no one to rescue her.

If I understood that right, it was only supposed before the expertise but not stated for sure. An uncured pneumonia by itself leaves the traces in lungs for a few months but then they should have been disappear. Anyway, let us wait for the results of an expertise and the DNA test.

Oh yes, I know. I am sorry as I didn't mean to sound like what I was saying was exactly what happened. I guess you could say it is what we call over here "thinking out loud" and, yes, I would definitely want to hear what Dr Madis or the other doctors have to say as far as a diagnosis is concerned.

the lighting is bad: too bright sunshine... and unfortunately Tuuli moved to stand in the spotligth.


now she called, jumped on the backbranch and called some more. maybe she'd like Remo to bring her a frog?

now she took off.

But her breathing problems disappeared in a few days.

the bad breathing sound never went completely away. it got better so that it was not continuous but it returned every now and then: a few wheezes in a time right till the end. i didn't like to often write remarks of it here because i didn't like to hear it ... but it was there in the background.

They do the housework before leaving, as in previous years.

Hope Padis found a mate this year and moved to some other nest he made.

i just came from Stephi's nest and either mom or dad was there. i realy hope that someone was able to get pic. of it. as he/she was there for along time doing nest cleaning and cleaning one's self. this made my moring. i realy hope that someone got pic. :peek:

Remo left, Tuuli preened and watched the sky - but there was someone she didn´t like there to be ...

Oh Bea, those are fantastic pictures. Did that happen over the past few minutes or right after Tuuli first arrived in the nest? I have been away for a few minutes. I hope I didn't miss them coming back!
