It is so nice to finally see "my" eagles again.

The Little Pi is not so little. He doesn't look so terribly at risk alone in the nest. And his wings have the first little dark spots.

Little Pi is dragging a mole around the nest. She wants food -- she is calling. I don't think Stephi is big enough to rip it up so that it is swallow able.

I do not see it there in Lussi's capture so I guess Remo delivered it at some point.

Little Pi is back sweetly sleeping now.

Hopefully Tuuli will be back before too long to feed him.

Little Pi is strongly suggesting that Tuuli please get on with ripping up that mole now that the frog has been eaten. (Little Pi is in a hurry to become Big)

Are you sure it is a vole? To me it looks more like a small bird!
Stephi is still home alone. In the morning I saw Remo bringing a vole and Stephi tried to swallow it, but did not manage to do so, still a little to small! A real cutie! :loveshower:

I just watched an interesting scene:
Tuuli's little one was alone quite a while when Remo returned with a little prey. (I think it must have been a mouse) As its kind he didn't put it on the edge but gave it to litte Stephi.

Image

I don't believe he/she managed to gobble it up completely (wasn't able to catch), but considering the chubby craw I assume.

Image

And - at last - the old must make way for the new! :D

Image

I hope somebody could record.
When mummy finally came back both of them seemed to be very happy.

Indeed, it looks like a bird .... probably my eyes didn`t want to see it because I don`t like it when they hunt and feed other birds .....

I think this is very normal, Tuuli goes hunting, mostly for herself, or stays somewhere not too far away. I think the little ones need this also to start learning to fend for themselves, as you can see, Stephi starts to eat alone, it will get better and better with each passing day. We saw that last year with Tormi as well. They have to grow up within a few short months, no time to waste!
