Estonian LSE Nest Discussion 2012 ~ Tuuli & Remo

Good morning

Remo is great father! I have checked pontu pictures and it shows that Remo stayed with eaglet all the time until Tuuli arrived back at nest! It was 20 minutes! I really admire him (two awesome pictures with him and Stephi I will show in the evening)

Now Tuuli is at nest and calling loud

Tuuli just up and flew off.

I can hear her calling as she flies about.

The bone is not seen but something black appeared(a mole)?

She is back and within a minute the chick was covered -- after being tossed about, by digging in the nest bowl.

I forgot about the bone. I think there are at least 4 little bodies in the nest. Probably one mole and several voles.

It is a sweetie (especially as there is no sibling).
I have been wondering about Tuuli's call. When I have two cams open, I feel I can sort of recognize Tuuli's voice from Eha's. Actually I think they both sound almost the same when they gurggle a thank you for a delivery, but their calls seem a bit different.
Am I crazy, or might it be because of different mics?

When they give their thanks to Remo and Koit they sound equal to me, and when they are announcing incoming prey, too ..... but when they call from the nest into the wood they sound different to me .....

I am very curious about what bird is calling in the forest. I have almost thought it another LSE or a Buzzard

Stephi alone at home - hidden in the shadow under the nettles .... but very near to the rim

Remo arrived, calling. Stephi is unseen.

Is it hiding under the nettle?!

14:10 Remo arrived with something odd. He stayed at nest with Stephi


14:39 Remo heard Tuuli's calls and flew off


14:45 Tuuli arrived at nest after almost two hours

Playing hide-and-seek with parents. It is under the right nettle, his/her head is seen there.

15:23 Tuuli took that odd thing and started feeding Stephi
