That saves me to look up what I saw at the zoo (not belonging to the zoo!) today, it was one like this! But actually I know him, because one is flying in front of my office window too!

But what is with Eha and Koit? Have they decided for the old nest or for an eggless year?

I have been optimistic, but now I wonder if Eha and Koit have decided not to hatch  Maybe the food supply is not good enough this year?
Is it too late yet? :puzzled:

From what I read, the time for the egg is end April, beginning of May, the time now. But I have not seen them on the nest and it would be time now!

But no one was sleeping in the nest.

Dear friends here in the forum – as you could see already, a bit prematurely, there is a new database published . Watching Tuuli and Remo last summer got me so interested in Lesser spotted Eagles, I started collecting whatever came up and after I while, looking at the steadily growing collection of links, PDFs, pictures, articles … I asked myself what to do with all this. At the same time I was reading in Maertha's WTE database, admired the work behind it, and then it made "click"! I wrote to Maertha and the idea assumed shape. A very big THANK YOU to Maertha for the encouragement and help, and especially for letting me use the framework she had created for the WTE database, so I did not have to start from scratch, like she had to! Big thanks are also going to Jo, Nancy, Urmas and Webmaster for technical support and encouragement I got from them! All problems could be solved and now there is a new database, which waits to be filled more with bits and pieces about Lesser Spotted Eagles, and Greater Spotted Eagles as well, as I think they are equally important! Thank you Urmas for encouraging me to include them.
There are still a few things that have to be sorted out, but for the moment, the database is public and I hope you find interesting things to read!

02.05.

Pontu pictures say that Eha was on the nest from 07:20 - 07:59 for an early-morning sunbath and a little nap

Somehow it seems to me that they are not serious any longer about laying an egg in this nest :puzzled:
